A new ride is to open in April at Alton Towers, UK. Success or failure?
An extremely large amount of people has been put off for a long period of time after seeing the news regarding a roller coaster crash which left five people seriously injured at Alton Towers and with its new ride coming in April 2016, they might finally get back on their feet.
Passengers on Galactica, which will open at the Staffordshire theme park in April after two years in the making, will wear virtual reality headsets, says the Telegraph.
With it's huge popularity falling extremely in June last year, the theme park might be back on the tourism market with the new concept. But is that all it takes for the profit to start flowing again?
Galactica, which is the official name, will take passengers on a journey through space which will add dimension and uniqueness to the theme park's products. The ride will place passengers upside down and give them the impression of ''flying'' in space.
As the new invention is not technically a roller coaster, it's likely to bring a lot of people back to the theme park and bring it's popularity back.
Galactica is something so unique which lets the visitors experience 3.5gs force, which is stronger force than during a rocket launch, the ride may bring a large amount of visitors and bring worldwide fame to the theme park, and the UK's tourist market itself.
The theme park has cut 200 jobs since the incident in June but hoping the efforts will bring people back after 2016 and looks to recover in 2017.
